"This firm Amerispec was hired by the Provincial government (Efficency Nova Scotia) to oversee the install of my moms electrical panel / power line & heat pump heating - upgrade - to say we are not happy with the myriad of problems that resulted from Amerispec lack of sincerity and competence is this years understatement ! We likely needed to hire an oversight firm to over see Amerispec - the electrical work done in my moms basement strictly speaking met code after WE harassed the contractor to finish the work. But dishonest evaluation of the oil tank, incompetence in the heat pump exchanger selection and a failing system controller and repeated calls for service and promises of solutions, that have not arrived yet - over a year later. How about reoccurring electrical bills from NS power for $1000 - remember now the whole reason we signed on here was to save energy cost and help with the environment. The lack of follow up and poor agency honesty is not what the Federal Government intended when they sent these funds to Nova Scotia! To help the citizens ! ! Run an appropriate power cable to mom’s house from the power poll 100 feet away - install a 200 amp panel - set up a heat pump ! Total price including project monitoring by Amerispec $44,000 - You have been warned !"

"I Had an energy assessment done a few weeks ago. The technician was nice enough but showed up about 2 hours late. I believe i had to call the office to see if they were coming that day. That was fine, i can understand that happening from time to time as i'm in the industry and things happen. I was told the inspection report was to follow in the next week or so. After a few weeks i didn't get the report, and the solar rebates were coming to an end at the end of the following day. I opened my junk mail and found the invoice. I called the office to remind them I needed the report by the end of the day. The woman on the other end of the phone said something like " no pay, no report" I was stunned and pretty angry about this ... I couldn't imagine ever saying something so smug to a client. No professionalism. A simple statement of " its our policy of not releasing the reports until payment has gone through" or something semi professional like that would have done it. Then tell me they wont accept a credit card payment through the phone or email or something. I had to go to some link and do some jumping around to pay it. idk i wouldn't waste your time with an american owned big business like this .. I would not recommend them for this unprofessionalism on the phone alone.There are tons of other smaller local companies out there that do the same thing without the arrogance."

He took time to answer all of our questions throughout the inspection The cost is a bit high but the service justified it in our minds. The admin was on top of things and scheduling was easy.
