"I had a fantastic experience with Clearview Home & Property Inspections (specifically with Tom) & 100% recommend them to anyone who wants to be reassured when purchasing a property. Before going with Clearview I read a few reviews online (such as the ones on Google) and I can relate to the positive sentiments expressed. Here's how my experience went: My inspection was last minute notice - the day before - but Tom was able to accommodate me. From the start, we had a call to go over what kind of inspection I needed, the steps were outlined to me, the different service tiers explained, and I was re-assured that I didn't have to go for the most-premium package unless something was found which could point to a more serious problem. When arriving at the site, Tom was on-time, and got straight to do an initial walk around the house - he then clearly explained how the inspection would be performed, how long it would take, and asked if we had any questions or wanted to bring up anything before he got to work. First, he performed an independent inspection of each level, taking pictures and making detailed notes. He then took us through the house - explaining everything he found, any minute issue, how it could be remedied, and anything to look out for in the future. We were able to ask any questions, and he used it as a teaching opportunity for us. He did find some mildew in the shower - and when I asked if getting a more advanced mould inspection was needed, he said he didn't think it necessary, explained why, and said it was up to me - I didn't feel like I was being pressured into paying more for a level-of-service that may be unnecessary. Lastly, he did an infrared inspection to identify any issues behind the walls - he then showed us how the photographs from the infrared inspection looks - which was important for the last part. Later that evening, I was emailed a full complete report - a picture of everything in the house, model numbers of my equipment, recommendation on what to monitor, improve fix, and the prior infrared pictures - which helped a ton when I was prioritizing some initial fixes in the house. After going through the report, I was able to reach out with some follow-up questions just to make I didn't miss anything and understood all of the information. Overall, I was very impressed with the inspection & Tom - my father and I were a bit caught off guard because nowadays its so hard to find this level of service, professionalism, and care put into the work - and I can say with confidence that he actually cared that I was satisfied with the service and that I felt assured with the condition of the house prior to completing the purchase. I would *highly* recommend Clearview home inspections & Tom for anyone who needs a home inspection."
