"I am extremely disappointed with the home inspection performed by Sam Al-Muhtadi from Pillar to Post Ottawa. While I understand inspectors need to be thorough for potential buyers, Sam caused completely unnecessary property damage to my home. During the inspection, he: Damaged the carpeting: He literally cut into the carpet around our living room post and ripped up carpet that was properly stretched and attached near our fireplace. Tracked tar into the house: After accessing the roof through a window, he stepped back inside without checking or cleaning his footwear, tracking dark roof tar all over our white bathroom tile floor. An inspector's job is to evaluate a home, not damage it. Property should be respected and left in the condition it was found. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere if you want an inspector who respects the home they are walking into."
